Product Description

The RT809F + 8 Adapters Universal Programmer is designed to read and write commonly used 8-pin and 16-pin chips found on computer motherboards, laptops, LCDs, routers, and household appliances. It also supports SPD memory read and write for DDR1, DDR2, and DDR3 without desoldering the chip, with explicit support for special part numbers such as 34C02.

The programmer supports the full range of 24-series I2C (IIC) EEPROM memory and can automatically identify chip models from 24C01 to 24C16, including automatic detection of the 24-series 7th-pin write-protection level. It also supports laptop 8-pin and 14-pin password and battery chips, including models like 24RF08, 6480AR, BR9080, and 9016 where applicable.

In addition, the device supports the full range of SPI 25/26-series Flash memory with automatic identification of chip model and capacities up to 256 Mbit, and it supports the full range of 93-series Microwire memory devices. The RT809F provides dedicated support for RTD2120 dual-BANK online read/write operations and RTD2122 three-BANK online read/write capabilities, enabling rapid BANK reads.

The unit also supports online EDID (DDC-EDID) read and write for LCD monitors and LCD TVs, and it can perform online EDID read and write for laptop screens to assist with DELL, SONY and other notebook screen identification and related display issues. Adapters are provided separately for specific chip and adapter seat requirements.
